 3k @ 12:00 pace this morning on my meal break.   Just didn't feel like running but I did after I walked …too late!

 5k @ 6:31 pace at 2am on my meal break. 

Weekend

 Lousy weather Saturday made me make a B Line for the gym.   Logged 22 km ,  20 km at a 6:31 pace in 2hrs10min then a 2 km walk at a 12:00 pace.   

 Sunday and Monday were rest days ,  getting ready for yet another round of Midnights this week.

 And its the F day weekend about to start.   Logged another 5K @6:31 pace.  Rocked some tunes ...it was fun.   Its another lousy weather weekend so I am planning on taking the long one inside tomorrow for at least 21km.

Walking Monday

 Just because I felt like it I did a 3K walk on my meal break today!

Weekend

 More or less starting over when it comes to building some volume.   The weather was horrible over the weakened so I opted for the treadmill at work.   Logged 16 km ,   that's 15 km at the 6:31 pace followed by a 1 km walk.   Passed the time watching the Jays beat the Yanks from Dunedin.    Planning two more long ones,  21 and 26 km ahead of the Grand Canyon fun run.   If the weather is decent I will take it outside otherwise it will be the treadmill.     I wanted to go longer Saturday but decided not to push it with the chest injury.   I am pleased to report that its more or less in the rear view mirror and its not going to hold me back from the longer  ones any longer.

Friday

 Last day of the work week today.  I logged another 5k at a 6:31 pace.  It felt fast at first ,  felt warmer as I went along and of course it took less time to complete!

Picking it up!

 I was 2k into the lunch run and I  decided there was no reason not to  pick it up a little.   Went from a 7:00 / 8.5 kph to a 6:31 / 9.2 kph  pace.    I was well on my way to my 6:00 goal before my ski trip at the start of the month.  Coming back with a chest injury and some very uncomfortable running a couple of weeks ago I started over at a 7:30 pace.   I am almost 100% for running again,  still a little pain.  Sneezing is still very painful but improving too.    On Eves again next week so it will all be a 6:31 pace!   Hope to get a 2 hour run in either Saturday or Sunday ...got to be out of doors but then again it may be the treadmill!

Back to work!

 Eves this week.   5 km @ 7:30 pace on my meal break.  Tweaked my chest injury yesterday throwing the snow blower around making a bobsled track for the grandkids.  Its only a minor setback!   The treadmill was good tonight but it felt like an insulin spike or caffeine jolt hit me.  I had a coffee with hot chocolate and hour before I ran.   Then again it could be I was a little tired after skiing for 3 hours before work.

Weekend Running

 Only ran Saturday logging a 10 km out and back on the 2nd.   Super slow by purpose but no worse for the ware chest felt OK.   Sunday I was planning on a repeat of Saturday but the Grandkids came for a visit! 

Wore 2 watches, both optical sensors thought it would be cool to compare the data.  Garmin avg was 119 bpm and the fitbit was 120 bpm...impressive how close they are!

Better

 5.3 km today ,  held the left arm high and bent and limited arm swing.   4.5 km at a 7:30 pace with a 0.5 deg incline to lesson the impact ,  did a 0.8 km walk at the end.   A wee bit better today and no negative impact as a result of the run...I think!

Back at it again!

 Ski trip is over and its back to work.   I fell and injured my left chest , probably not a break or a fracture most likely cartilage or soft tissue.  Coughing ,  deep breathing and getting up or rolling over hurts.  It seems to be getting better it happened 6 days ago.   Today I ran at a 7:30 pace ,  it was painful.   I cut it short at 4k instead of the usual 5k and will evaluate things.  As along as it hasn't aggravated the injury   I will go longer tomorrow then faster the next day.
