Headed out with Grant on Friday running Hope Bay in the morning and Lions Head in the afternoon. In the am we parked on the North side of Hope Bay and headed towards Rush Cove on a side trail looping back to the car. Just beyond the residences on Rush Cove the trail followed along the coast and then through a flat open area before climbing the escarpment...easy trail along the water , tough after climbing the escarpment. A few Ks before the car we stopped at Jackson Monument with great views towards Hope Bay, Cape Croaker and Colpoys Bay and Wiarton. Logged 18.3 km in 3hrs33min.
Took a break and had a great lunch in Lions Head before the afternoon run. It was super hot , 32C and hydration was a challange. I took in lots of fluids at lunch and was pretty much covered from the morning. Headed out on the North side of the Lions Head loop with 1.5 litres of water prepared for about 3 hours in the heat. Ran out to the McKays Harbour camp site and spent some time checking it out. It was a great spot with some prime camp sites on the water . There was a little bit of gross garbage here and there but no too bad considering. Heading up the escarpment there was a great cooling wind that was from the South. The South side of the Lions Head loop was super comfortable with the cooling wind. We originally planed on coming back on the Inland Trail but decided to do the whole loop because of the wind so we headed to the Isle Hanel side trail adding a few extra Ks. Logged 16.7ks in 4hrs16min.

Fresh snow and sun brought allot of folks to the hill today. It was busy
